Chantelle & Jay – Holdsworth House – 21st March 2013
On Thursday, we joined Chantelle & Jay at the lovely Holdsworth House. Now having had a great pre-wedding shoot with these guys, we knew their day was going to be fun. What we didn’t realize was just how cold it was going to be. But hats off to the pair of them for braving one of the coldest days in March to spend time capturing great memories of their big day.
Chantelle and her girls were already for our arrival, everyone was calm and the finishing touches were been made to their makeup and hair. Chantelle looked stunning in her wedding gown, her headdress and small veil completed the fabulous look. After lots of photos, it was time to let her take the final stroll through the hotel to her waiting groom.
Inside the Stuart the room, the guests sat beneath a fabulous decoration: dozens of suspended jam jars with twinkling T lights in the bottom of each one. Very original and a talking point amongst the guests all day.

After a lovely ceremony it was time to brace the cold, the sun as shining and the weather man said it was going to snow… so with cameras in hand we headed out to the garden for the group shot: Cry’s of oh no, where’s my coat, and How long are we going to be rang out from the guests, but with good organisation we had every one out and back inside in the shake of a lambs tail. As soon as the guests has settled themselves back in front of the open fires, we continued with their personal photography time. Only a few hardy guests ventured outside to watch the fun.
With all due respect Chantelle was pretty amazing, she never once complained that she cold or that her fingers were numb, she was having a ball and she wanted those pictures no matter what the weather.
After completion of the photos’s we headed inside to let the guys see the room set for the first time and for a few more internal shots. Soon the guests were ushered in and taking their seats for the wedding breakfast to begin. The day was rounded off with some great speeches and a very unusual Cake cutting – well actually not a cake at all but three bowls of ‘Trifle’ which were then cut with a very large spoon!
What a great day!
We would like to thank all the staff at Holdsworth House for making Chantelle & Jays wedding day perfect and for once again looking after us so well.
